Graffiti life span

The quickest way to the Bay Bridge from West Oakland is via W. Grand Ave.  Along this stretch of road, you will see a perfect recipe for graffiti artists:  old buildings with lax police presence.  From April 3, 2011 to August 3, 2012, Christopher Wehling took a few pictures each month of one of the walls along W. Grand Ave in West Oakland.  The goal was to show the evolution of a wall of graffiti, a wall painted over and over again.

Equally interesting were the subtle changes in California weather, and the leaves falling from the central tree.

My favorite photos were with the painters on site (this one was from June 8th, 2012).
